Having performed all over the world as a co-leader of the band Huntertones, Chris Ott has shared the stage with Ricky Martin, Allen Stone, O.A.R., Umphrey's McGee, Vulfpeck, Lucky Chops and many others. His arrangements and compositions can be heard on Huntertones three studio albums as well as his 2020 solo record, The 60s Project. Chris' honors include awards from ASCAP, The American Trombone Workshop, and serving as a musical ambassador for the American Music Abroad Program.Chris is a multi-faceted Trombonist comfortable with many genres. His specialties include pop/horn section playing, Big Band, Jazz, Funk, Latin, film, and Commercial styles. He has a full collection of mutes and also plays bass trombone, baritone, conch shells, and a host of other toy instruments/sound effects. Chris prefers to work from sheet music (bass clef or non-transposed score) but is also able to create custom horn parts or quickly pick up lines from sample demos.
