How Musiversal works: A typical recording day

One of the many things that make Musiversal unique is that you can live stream your recording session and talk to us in real-time. The best thing about this is that no matter where in the world you are, you can book a recording session! You could be in any country, in your own home, in your studio, at a cafe, or even chilling on the beach. If you have an internet connection you can stream your recording session!

Lead up to your recording day

So you have booked a session with Musiversal, and you’re thinking “now what happens?”. The process leading up to the recording day is simple and we’ll be there to assist the whole way.

First of all our Executive Producers will send an email confirming your booking and letting you know how to proceed. We’ll ask you to upload anything we’ll need to record your music. If you have a score/sheet music then that’s great! But if you don’t have this then no need to worry - we offer transcription services as well, for an extra cost. All we need is a mockup and MIDI files of a track and our arrangers will transcribe it for you to prepare it for recording.

All of this can be uploaded on our website. You can also send us anything else you think would help us record your piece. For example, Pro Tools session files, MIDI tempo map, click track or backing music. You can find guidelines for submitting your score here.

After we have received your score our Executive Producers and Conductor will go over your work. They will check whether the amount of time you have booked is appropriate for the piece and whether the orchestra you have booked matches the difficulty of the piece. We will be in contact with you through the process and will let you know if there are any questions or if anything needs to be clarified.

On the recording Day

Before the recording date, we will send you a link that you can use to stream the session and also let you know what time your recording session will take place. On the day of the recording session follow this link to watch your music played live in the studio!

Of course, if you happen to be in the same city that your recording is taking place in, we would love to have you join us in the studio! A studio recording is an amazing event to witness live so we encourage you to attend whenever possible.

When it is time to play your piece we will give you a reminder on the live chat. The first take of a piece is a rehearsal, but sometimes the musicians will nail it first go. Luckily we are recording the whole session so if this happens we won’t miss it! One of our Executive Producers will always be present and you can chat with them at any time. Ask any questions you have or let them know of changes you want to be made to the way your piece is played.

Post recording

Once the recording session is done we will send over the whole recording of your session as unmixed files. We will send this via Wetransfer within two to three business days, or sometimes even sooner depending on the recording day.
